Aramid packing
Aramid is Aramid Fiber Packing
Aramid Fiber Packing is a braided packing made of Aramid fiber. This packing can bear higher-pressure applications than other types of braided packings. Due to its steel-like strength, this aramid yarn can be employed separately or as back-up rings with other types of packing.
Aramid packing has been developed to replace asbestos packing for pump systems. It covers all the service ranges which asbestos packing provides and even much better. Aramid packing affords longer service life under severe conditions which conventional asbestos packing can not provide satisfaction, such as sand slurry, tin mining, paper slurry, feed water pump of power stations, etc.
thoroughly impregnated with PTFE suspensoid and a premium grade Silicone lubricant.
This Non-Asbestos pump packing has excellent abrasion resistance. Aramid® has the highest tensile strength of any fiber and possesses excellent resistance to high temperature and chemicals.
Aramid is an excellent packing for reciprocating pumps.
