Copper Rocker Box Gaskets

Copper Rocker Box Gaskets are made from pure solid copper, in about 0.03" thickness . We have our copper rocker box gaskets CNC cut for a precise fit and bolt hole alignment. TBM offers standard thickness (.032") copper rocker box gaskets, as well as thinner (.021" and .026") and thicker (.042" and .050") gaskets.

Why do we sell thicker and thiner rocker box gaskets??? Over time, most cylinder heads have been re-surfaced and as such, the rocker arm no longer properly aligns with the center of the valve stem. Similarly, valve seats have been re-cut, moving the valve deeper into the combustion chamber, thereby raising the valve stem height such that the rocker arm does not center on the valve stem. Either of these conditions puts unwanted thrust on valve guide, which leads to rapid guide wear and increased valve stem/valve guide friction.
